This is Your School is the second mission in TC and involves a personal introduction to the academy by Bucky Jones to the protagonist, Clyde Marsh and Thirlcrest Academy.
Mission[]
Intro[]
Clyde Marsh enters Thirlcrest Academy. From there, he is given an informal introduction to the campus and guided to the cafeteria, where Bucky Jones shows him the various cliques of what he describes the "social pecking order" from the weakest to the supposedly strongest of the school such as the Astronomy Club, Honor Students, Greasers, and the Varsity. While doing so, Bucky gives a tailored warning to Clyde about the jocks. Clyde undermines his warning, saying that he isn't scared of a bunch of roidmonekys, and they proceed to leave the cafeteria as the bell is rung for a small period break and for students to disperse to class.
Walkthrough[]
The game gives Clyde freedom to explore the academy before giving him a task as per the suggestion of Bucky to go to his locker to retrieve some required items for an upcoming class. Clyde goes to his locker with Bucky accompanying him and finds that Ross Northrop, the large behemoth he had an earlier encounter with, is blocking his locker, disallowing him any access effectively. Bucky tells Clyde to go up to Ross and bribe him to get away from his locker so he can get his stuff. From there, the player has the option of apologizing to Ross and pleading for him to leave his locker or paying him money to get out of the way. Either way, Ross will react by giving Clyde a noogie and laughing at him before leaving. Clyde gains access to his locker, takes an item which appears as a special hat the player can wear, and the game continues as Bucky and Clyde roam the hallways.
Eventually, Prefect Freddy Kenny will trigger a cutscene upon spotting them where he instructs the two of them to go to class, saying that they are violating the attendance rule. The cutscene fades away as Clyde is forced to run away from Freddy to make sure he is not caught and reprimanded whereas Bucky disappears silently and is nowhere to be found. Clyde goes to his next class, Chemistry, where he learns how to assemble chemical concoctions and the player must complete a button-by-button QTE cue to successfully pass the class. The player will have three attempts.
Failing each attempt will mean that the player fails the class, and they will not get the reward. If they pass, the player will get access to Stink Bombs, which are chemical concoctions contained in bottles capable of wreaking up the place and stunning players. The Stink Bombs can be accessed via a chemistry set in the player's dorm. The game introduces the concept of classes and states that the player has two classes each day; morning classes taking place from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and afternoon classes taking place from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Clyde wonders where Bucky has disappeared off to, but eventually forgets and continues on with his day after being introduced to the school, rendering the mission complete.
